Journals AND books!

Just when you think you’ve seen all the cute bookish things, someone hands you something new and you must crow about it.

My best friends handed me a package today as a belated birthday present.  A lovely tablet cover with a journal and a set of multicolored fine tip felt pens.  Anyone who knows me knows I am a journal junkie.  Other than books, I love collecting journals and pens.  Writing in those journals is a completely different story, but I have them, nonetheless.  So I was excited about a new journal.

Until I was told what sort of journal it was. It’s a reading planner and friends, my mind just exploded.

The title on the cover says “A Novel Companion” and it’s a paper way to tracking all the books you’ve read.  Think Goodreads only in journal form.  Not only that, but there’s a weekly calendar to track you book reading, a section for most anticipated book of that week, a page for books on your short list to read, a page for new releases.  A checklist where you can mark a star rating, a book series tracker, a TV tracker, a movie tracker. A page for your favorite book quotes, an entire page where you can do a battle of the books!

Plus, at the back, are pages and pages for book reviews. Star ratings, where you found it, how it was read, thoughts.  Plus, places for notes and a dot page for your own creative tracking.  It’s being crafty and reading all at once!

I didn’t even know this existed until today and my bestie said he found it on Instagram.  So of course, I went to the site.

The website is called Little Inklings Design and y’all, they have everything!  Planners, notebooks, stickers, vinyl stickers, mugs!  I think I just found out where a portion of my money is going for Christmas.  If you’re a book lover, you have got to check out this website. 

Apparently, there’s a 12-month bookish planner for 2023 that I plan on preordering because this is something I need in my life.  It’s two of my favorite things: journals and books. If you don’t know exactly what to get for the book lover in your life, they have gift cards.

I know I’m coming off like a commercial, but this is just amazing, and I’m giddy with all the potential. Check it out and see if you find something that catches your interest.  As for me, I know what I’m organizing this weekend.  Maybe it’ll help me organize this website as well.
