When I did my year-end review of what I did and what I’m working towards for 2025 one of the items on my list was creating a website. Expanding this blog into something more is probably a better way of phrasing it.

Through my job, I was offered a list of classes to improve myself. Of course I jumped on this. I’m out of school and this is a cheaper alternative than deciding if I want to go back and get another degree. One of the classes is Creating your WordPress. Which, I have, but this website is bare bones. Everything I’ve done on here has been point and click. Luckily this WordPress is incredibly user friendly…mostly. The class I’m currently taking is going to show me how to use all the extras, the plug-ins, the widgets, how to create multiple pages on here. Things that are on this website that I have no idea how to use. One would think that a person who loves to read would have read up on this but nope! I keep my reading habits open for books I want to relax to.

I just started the class this week and already I am yelling at my computer trying to figure out how this entire thing works. What I have learned so far is there are two different Workpress sites, a .com and a .org. The class is having me work through the .org and working with a hosting site. This is an interesting new development and one I am determined to complete.
While I am working through this, I’ll keep you all updated. Whether or not this website merges with the finished product is yet to be seen. Either way, it’s going to take about 3 months to finish this class so you will still be getting your weekly posts from me. Hopefully when I’m finished, there will be an upgrade with a pretty new page and all sorts of fun things you can click through.

We’ll see. This mouse if pretty hopeful.
This is an exciting start to 2025 for my little reading nook. And I’m excited to take you all on this journey with me. Get comfy, I think this is going to be an interesting trip.
That’s it for this week, friends. Stay warm. Stay safe. Now more than ever, take some time for yourself. Get a warm drink and curl up with a good book.
