Spring (not) Cleaning

According to Phil, we have six more weeks of winter. As of this post, it’s actually more like two or three weeks left.  Plus, one more week until Daylight Savings Time and we lose that extra hour but gain and extra hour of sunlight each day.  It’s a trade off I’ll happily take.

It’s been a little over a year since I began writing and reviewing full time and I appreciate each and every one of you who have stuck by me on this wild ride.  And to my new friends, Hi!  Welcome! My blog is an eclectic mix of my musings as well as reviews on (it seems) romance novels both queer and het.  Occasionally there’s a horror novel or a Sherlock Holmes pastiche, or more recently, futuristic crime novels.

Not actually me. But it could be.

As always, my goal is to review and promote authors who are small or independent publishers.  And authors that are lesser known and don’t get the same attention as larger named authors. Everyone needs a cheerleader in their corner. That’s not to say I won’t review authors who have signed with publishing companies. I am doing the Book of the Month Club reviews.  I have my favorites, I’m sure we all do, but I’m always willing to expand my reading list. (Please don’t tell my TBR pile, it’s already screaming at me!)

You like books? Go here.

Oh, my poor TBR pile, it’s not funny anymore. Spring cleaning comes to us all and this spring, I plan on cleaning my bedroom so I can add more bookshelves. And a desk. It’s a huge project and something that’s going to take a while. But it needs to be done. I’m drowning in books.

Also, I think part of the spring cleaning I need to do is making sure my blogs are getting up on time. This is the second week this has happened and I am not proud of myself. Fridays, Mouse, Fridays…

I promise photos of my new setup once it’s up and ready. I’m excited, it’s a new chapter of this story, maybe not as exciting or glamorous, but think of it as the middle part of the book that is building up the story.

Speaking of stories, it’s back to the reading for me.  Those books won’t read themselves. Any spring cleaning/ reading you’re planning?  Drop it in the comments.

As always friends, remember to take time out for yourself.  Even if that time out is with a good drink and a good book
