Welcome back my friends!
Already it is near the middle of August and here we are. I’ve bought so many good books this past month, and read even more and I can’t wait to share them with you.
First, my trip to London was wonderful! I had so much fun and visited so many historic places including the Globe where William Shakespeare hosted his plays!

Of course, it looks much different now than it did in his time but still, it was exciting to see. I wish I could have seen the inside but there was rehearsal and we missed the final tour of the day.
I visited Scotland as well and walking in places where famous writers that I love had walked and had inspiration for their creations was overwhelming. It gives a fresh light on so many things.

One of these monuments is the one to Sir Walter Scott, Scottish novelist and poet, author of famous works such as Ivanhoe and Rob Roy. It’s truly an amazing monument to see, right in the middle of the newer part of Edinburgh.
Do I want to go back? Heck yes. But in the meantime, I am back in the States, ready to read more books and deliver my reviews to you, my friends.
Has anything come out recently that’s caught your attention? Anything I might be interested in? Feel free to drop them in the comments!
Until then, next week we’re jumping the seasons a little to review a good spooky story titled Home Before Dark by Riley Sager. I can say it was one of my favorite reads this year.
So until next week friends, I leave you with a picture of the Sherlock Holmes Museum because you all knew I couldn’t visit England and not find something Sherlock Holmes related. Enjoy your summer, relax with a cool drink and a better book.

I am rereading Boyfriend Material in prep for the sequel, Husband Material. Would love to know what you think of these, as there’s a posh barrister in pinstripes with grey eyes and a fob watch.

I have a review of Boyfriend Material on the Blog. Oliver is the reason I loved that book & the reason I’m excited to read Husband Material.

Found it! Good points you make. I’m Team Oliver instead of Team Luc as well.
